Charism of Apostolate

“Could you not keep watch with me for one hour” Matthew 26:40

Aim of The Diocesan Committee

To set up viable centres of weekly adoration in every parish of the Diocese and to help strengthen or expand it in parishes where it already exists.

How to go about setting up Eucharistic Adoration or doing a promotion in your parish

Steps to the establishment of a system of viable weekly Eucharistic Adoration

  1. Find out who else in the parish shares your desire to have weekly adoration started. Include members of parish organisations.
  2. Get interested people to make the commitment to pray, asking God for the gift of weekly adoration for the parish. Keep a list of these prayer people.
  3. In due course, in such a prayer setting, you will be able to make your Parish Priest aware of the level of interest there is.
  4. Ask him to consider issuing an invitation to representatives of The Diocesan Eucharistic Adoration Committee to call to discuss the presentation of the programme at weekend Masses of the parish.

Who we are: We call to parishes at the invitation of the Parish Priest or priest in charge.
